Her yearly specials aired around Easter on CBS. I could hardly wait! She had a unique sex appeal. Personally, I thought she was at her sexiest from her early to mid 40's.
Mitzi was so enticing in her yearly specials. She would wear a gorgeous gown, all very proper and ladylike, and sing a ballad. Her next number would be radically different. She would do a dance routine, which would showcase those shapely legs of hers. That contrast in routines was so sexy !
The last special Mitzi did was in 1978. She did a number called Limehouse Blues, where she's wearing this see through attire designed by Bob Mackie. She was 47 at the time, and most women half that age, would kill for a body like hers. Even now, when I hear that song, I remember that body !
